Renewal and Visa's

Sent our letter to the department of Homeland Security to update our expired fingerprints. I didn't know that your fingerprints expire???? I know...it seems dumb! We have to follow the rules or we can't bring the mermaid home. We did apply for our Visa's for travel to China. I had to Fed-Ex them to Houston. The forms you have to fill out are a pain in the...I'll be nice. They ask for dates and places and we just don't know all this info yet. They should be completed by the end of next week. I just did not like the fact that I had to send our passports in the mail. UGHHH!!!
By the way, other families are getting their LOA's...wish we had ours. We are at day 43. Come on China...Move those papers!!!!!!

Easter Bunny Visit

Went to see the Easter Bunny at the mall with our friends. The pirate and his friend, Jake Jake got to sit with the Easter Bunny.

Agency Appointment

Our Social Worker thinks we will be traveling in August. WHAT??????

We were NOT HAPPY about THAT!!!!! It is a wait and see situation now. Let's all hope it is sooner than later. She is a very nice woman. But, I hope she is wrong.

However, we talked about airplane tickets, hotels, crisp money...Yes, they like their money crisp, what to expect when we get to China and signed some more papers. Uggghh....

We have to apply for our Visa's to travel and renew our fingerprints with the the Dept. of Homeland Security (Immigration). We have some things to do for now.....

The best part of the meeting was placing our pin in the map on the wall. It is a map of China and the little red pins are representative of all the babies adopted from China through our agency office. Notice where I put our pin and look at the others. We are practically off the map!!! A first for our agency office.

Red Sox Saturday!

Uncle Cris took the pirate to see the Red Sox and Reds play. He was very excited....about riding in the VAN! Yes. You heard me...riding in the VAN! He said the field was not in a circle????, it was hot and he moved to a new seat and it was still hot and he wants to ride in Uncle Cris' van again.

Forget Disney World...riding in Uncle Cris' van ROCKS!!!! I can save soooo much money... Thanks Cris!

Registry

We went and registered at Toys R us and Target today. We picked fun things and things we need to finish the mermaids room. I hope we didn't miss anything!
The pirate did a great job picking things for his mei mei. I am really proud of him.

News from the Agency

We got an email from our agency. LOA papers are coming in quickly. Our social worker wants to see us to discuss paperwork updates and TRAVEL!!!!!
They are closed for the weekend...phooey!
